On the 150th anniversary of the Gozo Seminary, the Gozo Bishop Mgr Mario Grech, has announced six new appointments in the Gozo Diocese.
• Mons Joseph Attard, from the Parish of St. Peter and St. Paul, Nadur, and to date the Archpriest of the Parish of the Assumption in the Cathedral, Victoria, has been appointed as Episcopal vicar for Catechesis with Adults, with a view to coordinating the operation of the Parish Pastoral Councils, the adult evangelisation, the ecumenical relations in the Diocese, the organisations and lay movements, promoting theological formation of the laity, and particularly coordination to help in the discernment of the complex relationship of couples in the light of the apostolic exhortation `Amoris Laetitia‘ – Pope Francis.
• Mons. Paul Cardona, from the Parish of St. Margaret, Sannat, to date Archpriest of the Parish of St. George, Victoria, has been appointed as Episcopal vicar for the Clergy, with the aim of working to build the Presbyterial Community and follow more closely the diocesan clergy.
• Mons. Joseph Curmi, from the Parish of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, Xaghra, to date Parish Vicar in the Parish of St. Peter and St. Paul, Nadur, has been appointed as Archpriest of the Parish of St. George, Victoria.
• Mons. Joseph Sultana, the Parish of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, Xaghra, to date Archpriest of the Parish of the Visitation, Gharb, has been appointed as Archpriest of the Parish of the Assumption in the Cathedral, Victoria..
• Mons. Trevor Sultana, from the Parish of St. John the Baptist, Xewkija, to date Parish collaborator in the Parish of St. Margaret, Sannat, has been appointed as Archpriest of the Parish of the Visitation, Gharb.
• Fr. Mark Bonello, from the Parish of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, Xaghra, has been appointed as Bishop’s Delegate for Pastoral Work with Adolescents and Youth and Parochial Vicar in the Parish of St. Peter and St. Paul, Nadur.
